Arithmetic Workshop Activity

In the Arithmetic Workshop activity, kids can develop number sense and learn strategies for solving arithmetic problems. In the Place Values environment, kids model numbers using manipulatives. As kids construct numbers, they are displayed numerically, in place value form, and in written form.

There's also a practice environment for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division problems. In each environment kids can set up arithmetic problems to practice solving. Numbers are represented by models that kids can manipulate as they solve a problem.
